  This major develops the basic theory and methods of mathematics and make students gain basic training of applied mathematics modeling. It helps students master the skill of computer application and software developing. Students graduated from this major are eligible for application of applied mathematics.   This major develops the people who have firm mathematical foundation, wide computational mathematics professional knowledge and the ability to put them into practice.

Public Courses

  According to the teaching plan of the school, our department takes on the course---Advanced Mathematics that is the public basal course of the school. All non-mathematics departments have the required course---Advanced Mathematics that have three levels:

  Advanced Mathematics I : 252 periods ( suitable for scientific majors)

  Advanced Mathematics II: 180 periods (suitable for scientific and industrial majors)

  Advanced Mathematics III: 72 periods (suitable for economic and art majors)

  In addition, our department takes on some engineering mathematics courses including Linear Algebra, Complex Function Theory, Statistics, Computational Methods, Mathematical Physics Methods, Mathematical Physics Equation and Special Function, etc.
