• Organizing training courses and serving as a local center for imparting of Biotechnological knowledge in the region
• Providing facilities and scientific expertise for education and training of regional scientists and the development of manpower in aquatic biotechnology
• Establishing an appropriate infrastructure and providing scientific leadership in the development and application of novel aquatic biotechnologies in the least developed countries in the region
