2010 Government Scholarship for Master and
Doctoral Degree Programs for
I. Number of scholarship available: 10
II. Details of the Scholarship
Chinese Government Scholarship scheme is established to provide full scholarship to international students. Ocean University of China (hereinafter referred to as the University or OUC) is authorized to administer the recruitment of the international government scholarship students who will study in the University.
The scholarship durations are 2-3 years for master degree student and 3-4 years for doctor degree students beginning in the September of 2010 and ending in the July of 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively.
The Scholarship includes:
1. Tuition fee
2. Accommodation on campus (Note: water and electricity fee should be afforded by the student him/herself)
3. Monthly Living allowance:
- Master degree students: CNY 1,700 Yuan per month;
- Doctoral degree students: CNY 2,000 Yuan per month;
4. Medical insurance based on the stipulated insurance articles;
III. Doctoral & Master Degree Programs
1. Programs for PhD/Doctoral Degree Program in English
- All the available Ph. D supervisors can be found in File 1 PhD Supervisor Information. (proof of level of proficiency in English is needed)
2. Programs for M.sc in English
- Marine Science (For detailed curriculum, please refer to File 2 Marine Science Module Description，and proof of level of proficiency in English is needed).
3. Programs for MA in Chinese
Four programs are available for master applicants:
- Chinese Philology
- Chinese Literature History
- Modern and Contemporary Chinese literature
- Historical Geography

* Certificates of HSK Level 6 or above is a prerequisite. Those whose major is Chinese language related may apply for other MA programs (not listed here) and meet the prerequisite of HSK Level 6 or above.
4. Master of International Business（English Program）
- Study Duration：From two years to Three years
- Main Courses include (1) Accounting, (2) Applied Statistics, (3) Management Economics, (4) Organizational Behavior, (5) Management Information System, (6) Marketing, (7) Operation Management, (8) Financial Management, (9) Strategic Management, (10) Business Negotiation, (11) Human Resource Management, (12) Series of Guest Lecture, (13) Logistics Management & (14) Supply Chain Management, (15) Finance, etc.

Proof of level of proficiency in English is needed.
IV. Eligibility
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals in good health.
2. Education background and age limit:
- Applicants for master degree studies must have bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
- Applicants for doctoral degree studies must have master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
V. Application Materials
The applicants must fill in and provide the following materials truly and correctly (in duplicate, one original copy and its photocopy), which shall be posted to Ocean University of China. Meanwhile, applicants shall apply online at http://laihua.csc.edu.cn (Agency No. of Ocean University of China is 10423)
1. File 4 Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship printed by CSC. One original and two photocopies, filled in Chinese or in English. Please read carefully the important notes on the last page before filling out the form. Please complete the form in Chinese or English. Please write legibly in black or blue ink. Please indicate with ‘X’ in the blank chosen. Any forms that do not follow the notes will be invalid.
2. Notarized Copy of bachelor’s degree/master’s degree. If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also provide relevant documents to prove. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.
3. Original transcript (or a notarized copy). Applicants for Master degree program or Doctoral degree program need to provide Original transcripts (stamped by the university). Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English.
4. A study or research plan, in Chinese or in English (no less than 800 words/ 2 pages, very important).
5. Two letters of recommendation. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English by professors or associate professors (very important).
6. CV. The Curriculum Vitae is to introduce your education background, your experience or your publication in relative research field done before.
7. Three photocopies of a COMMON passport (no diplomatic or service passport)
Note: Black ink pen or gel pen shall be used to fill all the forms. If any question in preparing the documents, please contact the Admissions Office of International Education Center.
VI. Application Deadline
The afore-mentioned materials should directly reach Ocean University of China International Education Center, by March 15，2010.
VII. Registration
Students who are awarded the scholarship are required to register in the designated institution within the specified deadline around September 2010. The privilege of the scholarship would be withdrawn, if one could not register in time.

中国海洋大学2010年“中国政府奖学金–高校研究生项目”申请办法
“中国政府奖学金-高校研究生项目”系中国教育部设立的，旨在支持建设国际高水平大学，打造中国高等教育品牌而提供的全额奖学金项目，奖学金提供给来华留学的外国学生，由中国部分高等学校自主招生，我校也属于自主招生高校。
一、 招生人数：10
二、 奖学金内容和标准
硕士研究生奖学金期限为2-3年，博士研究生奖学金期限为3-4年，此次奖学金获得者从

* 申请人需具备HSK6级及以上或同等水平。申请人本科专业为中文类或相关专业，并且汉语水平为HSK6级或6级以上，也可申请其它文科类硕士专业。
4、 英文MBA
l 学习期限：2-3年
l 主要课程：包括会计学，应用统计学，管理信息系统，市场营销，运营管理，财务管理，企业战略管理，商务谈判，人力资源管理，客座教授系列，物流与供应链管理等。

四、 申请人资格
1、 申请人须为非中国籍公民，身体健康；
2、 申请人须为非在华学习的学生；
3、 申请人的学历和年龄要求：
l 来华攻读硕士学位者，须具有学士学位，年龄不超过35周岁；

五、 申请材料
申请必须如实填写和提交以下申请材料（均为一式两份，原件一份，复印件一份）。同时，申请人应提交网上申请（http://laihua.csc.edu.cn），中国海洋大学的机构编码为10423。
1、 File 4《中国政府奖学金申请表》。用中文或英文填写。请申请人认真阅读本表第四页的填表说明。请用中文或英文填写此表格。请用电脑打印或用蓝色或黑色钢笔认真书写表格内容。请在所选项框内划‘X’表示。不按规定填写的表格将视作无效。
2、 经过公证的最高学历证明。如申请人为在校学生或已就业，需另外提交本人就读学校出具的在学证明或就业单位出具的在职证明。中英文以外文本需附经公证的中文或英文的译文。
3、 学习成绩单。中英文以外文本需附经公证的中文或英文的译文。
4、 来华学习和研究计划。不少于800字，用中文或英文书写（非常重要）。
5、 推荐信两封。申请攻读硕士
6、 个人简历。简介教育背景，经历和相关研究领域出版和发表的作品
7、 普通护照复印件。（非外交或公务护照）

上述申请材料由申请人于
七、 报到
奖学金获得者2010年9月入学，须按录取学校规定的时间到指定接收单位报到。无法按期报到者，奖学金资格原则上不予保留。
