2010年度孔子学院奖学金申请办法(English)
“孔子学院奖学金”由孔子学院总部设立，旨在鼓励世界各国学生、汉语教师来华学习和研究汉语言文化。
一、 颁发对象
1、各国孔子学院（课堂）的优秀学员；
2、在海外从事或计划从事汉语教学的教师及致力于中国汉语文化传播的人士；
3、参加国家汉办主办的各类汉语考试且成绩优异者；
4、“汉语桥”世界大学生、中学生、留学生等中文比赛优秀参赛选手；
5、符合孔子学院总部特定协议规定条件的人士。
申请人须为非中国籍公民，身体健康。
二、奖学金类别及相应申请资格要求
1、进修奖学金
奖学金期限分为一学期和一学年。申请人原则上应具备一定汉语基础，年龄一般不超过55周岁。
三、奖学金内容、标准
1、免学费、住宿费、门诊医疗费
2、按月发给奖学金生活费，标准为：
a． 进修生：1400元
3、 发给一次性安置费，标准为：
a. 在华学习时间满一学年（含）的:1500元
b. 在华学习时间在一学期（含）以上但不满一学年的:1000元
4、 提供来华留学生综合保险
四、申请及评审
1、申请者登陆孔子学院奖学金网站http://cis.chinese.cn，建立个人帐号，在线填写申请表，打印、签字后连同其他申请材料于
2、申请者可通过个人帐户在孔子学院奖学金网站随时查询申请进程及录取结果。
五、申请材料
申请者须按如下要求提交材料（均为一式两份）：
1、《孔子学院奖学金申请表》：此表需登陆孔子学院奖学金网站在线填写、提交并打印报送；
2、护照照片页复印件；
3、申请陈述：包含申请人汉语学习背景、来华学习计划及目标等，不少于200字，用中文或英文打印并签字。
4、汉语水平证明；
5、学历证明和成绩单：须由所在学校教务单位直接出具并加盖公章。中英文以外文本需附经公证的中文或英文的译文；
六、录取
1、国家汉办/孔子学院总部在
2、奖学金接收院校将录取通知书和奖学金证书统一寄送申请者。
七、报到
奖学金获得者须按接收院校规定的时间报到。无法按期报到者，奖学金资格原则上不予保留。

Application Procedures for Confucius Institute Scholarship (2010)
The
Confucius Institute Scholarship Program was established by Hanban/Confucius
Institute Headquarters in order to encourage students and Chinese language
teachers all over the world to study Chinese or conduct research regarding
Chinese language and culture in
I. Eligibility Criteria:
1. Outstanding students at Confucius Institutes
(classrooms) worldwide;
2. Mandarin teachers and those who intend to
become Mandarin teachers and who are devoted to the spread of Chinese language
and culture;
3. Outstanding examinees of Chinese tests
organized by Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters;
4. Outstanding participants of any of the
following “Chinese Bridge“ Chinese Proficiency Competitions, held for foreign
college Students, for foreign secondary school students, or for foreign
students in China;
5. Those who qualifies according to certain
Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters agreements.
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens who
are in good health.
II. Scholarship category and qualification:
1. Scholarships for advanced study.
Duration is for one semester or one academic
year. Applicants are required to have a basic knowledge of Chinese language,
and are under the age of 55.
III. Scholarship coverage and criteria:
1. Scholarship holders are exempt from tuition,
accommodation fees on campus and outpatient medical service;
2. Monthly allowances (CNY Yuan/month)

IV. Application and Evaluation:
1. Applicants, please log on to the Confucius
Scholarship website at
http://cis.chinese.cn,
set up an individual account, fill in the application form online, print the
form and sign it; then submit it to Ocean University of China International
Education Center Admission Office 113, along with the other application
materials before April 20, 2010;
2. Applicants may check their application
process and results at any time through the individual accounts they have set
up on the Confucius Institute website.
V. Application Documents:
Applicants must submit their documents
according to the following instructions (all in duplicate):
1. Application form for Confucius Institute
Scholarship: log on to the Confucius Institute Scholarship website, fill in and
submit the form online; then print and submit it;
2. Photocopy of passport photo page;
3.Application statement: include applicants’ Chinese
learning background and study plan in
4. Chinese proficiency certificates;
5. Diploma and transcripts: to be issued
directly by the educational administration office of the school/university,
with an official stamp. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English
must be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English.
VI. Approval:
1. Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters will
inform Ocean University of China of the scholarship decisions by May 31st,
2010.
2.
Ocean University of China will send both the letter of acceptance and
the certification of scholarship to the applicants.
VII. Registration:
The scholarship winner must register at the
accepting institutes before the deadline set by the institutes. Scholarships
will not be kept for those who do not register on time.
